Week of December 8-11
Sound of the Week – J
Book of the Week – The Christmas Miracle of Jonathon Toomey
Habit of the Month – Responsibility
Mom of the Month – Megan Maloney
We had a wonderful start to our busy December this week! Thank you Bonnie Pruitt for helping us in
centers on Monday.
We enjoyed Mrs. Maloney
coming to read to us!
And we enjoyed Mr. Grubbs coming to read!
We celebrated with Ellie on becoming a big sister! Welcome Samson Silas Reynolds! We are rejoicing with and praying for the
Reynolds family!
We are very excited about plans to meet with our 4th/5th
grade partner class on Tuesday! We will
be reading a story with them and they will help us make another Christmas
ornament that will remind us of Jesus.
Your children would like to give their partner a treat for Christmas. Please send in a candy bar for your child’s
partner. Their favorite is on the
information sheet you received earlier.
If you do not still have that information, email me and I will let you
know their favorite. One of our students
said, “But if our parents buy it, it’s really from them, not us.” (very
insightful!) I suggested they ask you
if they could help around the house to earn the money for the candy bar.
Reminder: Late start – Wednesday, December 10.
Children may wear jeans. Suggested donation of $3 for missions.
Please lift our class up daily in prayer. It’s a
wonderful, busy time…but we want to keep our focus on the real reason for our
celebrations – our precious Savior! The children are so in awe of the
story of the Nativity. It is a joy to start a craft project or story as
they ask many questions with wonder and amazement. Please also pray for
good health for all of our families during this special, busy season!
We will try on costumes next week, Monday December 15, for our
pageant. Please see important info below about specific costumes and ask
any questions needed for clarification. We are incredibly blessed to have
the costume items that have been made by parents in past Kindergarten classes!
Our class will be “The Friendly Beasts”. Be sure to have
lots of available camera memory on the day of the pageant! These costumes
are adorable!!!
Girls will be the sheep. We have hats and vests for
them. Girls will need to wear white long sleeved shirts (turtlenecks or
crew neck) and black leggings or pants and black socks. Girls may wear
their black leggings and white shirt to school on the day of dress rehearsal
(12/17) and the pageant (12/18).
Barrett will be the donkey. We have brown hooded
sweatshirts with a mane and tail to attach. He should wear khaki pants
and black socks on the day of dress rehearsal (12/17) and the pageant (12/18).
Jude and Whit will be the cows. We have sweatshirt and pants for all cows. Cows will change from regular uniform to cow costume at school on the day of rehearsal and Pageant. Please have your son wear black socks on his feet. We have black socks for hands.

Ben will be our Joseph.
We have his costume, nothing needed from home. We are so sad that Gabriel will be out on the
day of our pageant.
We will be doing our service project on Thursday, December
11. Meghan Grubbs has sent specific info. Megan, Aubrie Crais and
Megan Maloney will be helping us serve the church security staff that day.
Praying for your family this season!
Rhonda
